My Thoughts: I love Jade’s books she is able to capture your attention from the first word to the last……. This is the next book in the Bullet Series and we get to see who Zane truly is. We have learned and loved him from afar while he sat mostly in the back ground. Now we are getting to know him and his life so much better. Zane like most of the other members of his band have had addictions his just seem to get worse and never better!! When he believes he can try again and make it just right he contacts his on again off again girlfriend from college Jennifer. It has been a bit since they have seen each other and Jennifer has grown up a lot and has a pretty big secret she is keeping to protect herself and baby.
Jennifer has always loved and cared for Zane. She believes that her and Zane could truly make things work but was always disappointed. When Zane comes out of nowhere Jennifer is not ready. She does her best to keep him at arms length and the night she caves crushes her heart once again as she discovers that he is still up to his old ways. Jennifer gives Zane the choice between her and their love or his old life. Zane takes that challenge and soon sees that not everything is easy nor should it be. There are still secrets that could destroy the hard work he has been doing both for himself and for Jennifer.
Jade keeps you going through the entire book. I have said this about everyone of Jade’s books, she writes about real life. Her stories (for the most part we don’t all get to be big rock stars) reflect things that you or your family or friends have gone through. And that I love, I love that from the start of Bullet to the end of Locked and Loaded I could feel what they were feeling and have known someone who has had some kind of addiction. I am so thankful for Jade’s books and for her allowing me to read them!
